So my little cousin graduated this year and we made the trek WAY up north to her teeny tiny town to be a part of the graduation festivities! Mollie was her candle bearer – someone who is gets the light of knowledge passed onto them. It was a very cool experience for Mollie as she LOVES my cousin {M}. {M} has been coming down to stay with me every single year since Mollie was born for one week during the summer. It was always a chance for her to get to have fun in the big city, shopping for school clothes and generally sightseeing and relaxing. Right now she is currently driving down here once again and should arrive tomorrow on my birthday! Except this time she is STAYING and going to university!!! She was accepted with a scholarship to Simon Fraser University!!!! I am so proud of her as that is my old university! WAY to go {M}!!

I think she is now officially overdue so I will be waiting patiently right with her for her little one to arrive!

I recently had the pleasure of photographing this lovely Mommy to be and her SWEET SWEET little girl. Little Miss {A} was just so excited to meet her new sister and was extremely cooperative given that she is only 3!!! I just last week got to meet the new little sister and can’t wait to showcase her on the blog soon!
Until then you will have to oooh and ahhh over these photos! I guarantee that the newest addition to the family is JUST AS BEAUTIFUL!
And the last image is one of my all time FAVORITE images EVER!!!

So now that this lovely couple has officially tied the knot I am free to post the pictures they had be do as presents a few weeks ago. H and P got married yesterday in the Okanagan in a very small ceremony. They contacted me about a month ago and wanted to get some engagement photos done to be able to give out to people as gifts at the wedding! I was happy to oblige and we headed out to the walking trails that run beside Burns Bog where we were able to get some fantastic portraits of the two of them!
I hope your ceremony was beautiful and that you were able to surprise everyone with your lovely photos!
CONGRATULATIONS!

M & W – Moody Black and White – Vancouver Child PhotographerJune 9th, 2011Back in February I took the kids out into the backyard and snapped some photos of them in the lush green forest. The kids were super cooperative and loved being allowed to climb on the stumps in their dressy clothes! I think that most people assume it is easy to photograph your own kids because […] |

Back in February I took the kids out into the backyard and snapped some photos of them in the lush green forest. The kids were super cooperative and loved being allowed to climb on the stumps in their dressy clothes! I think that most people assume it is easy to photograph your own kids because you are a photographer – NOPE in fact it is usually much much worse as they have been subjected to all the “practice” sessions and so by the time you want them to actually cooperate they have been long since DONE! I can’t complain though as usually the kids are pretty good about cooperating for at least 5 or 10 minutes at a time! LOL
Now for some of the pics – they are all converted to a really moody black and white which is not at all my normal editing style. I thought I would try out something new! Do you like it?
