These two little cuties came in for 6 month portraits! They made us work for some smiles as they were so inquisitive and serious but we got a few great ones!

Sweet little {K} ended up being born on my little girl’s birthday! What a great day for a sweet as a button girl to be born!  Her mommy came for maternity photos and was just gorgeous so I knew that little Miss {K} would be adorable too!

Her big brother was so caring and kind too.  He is going to be a wonderful protector for his little sis!

This little guy was very well behaved given that he was quite a bit older than the newborns that usually come in for portraits.  He was a superstar though and posed fantastically!

On my way home every day I pass by an abandoned lot next to a school and an old community hall.  The lot looked like it used to be someones home but the house had obviously been torn down and all that was left was the gravel driveway and holes in the ground where plants and shrubs had been dug up.  In June this year the lot filled up with a TON of buttercups.  They were so thick that you couldn’t even walk through them!  Just before Father’s Day I took my kids and my niece out to the lot for some photos that she could give to her daddy (my brother).  They had alot of fun together and I got a few smiles and laughs!

When I was younger one of the most anticipated days of the school year was SPORTS DAY! A game filled with races and competitions set up all over the soccer field and playground.  The school I currently work as still calls it Sports Day and runs it similar to how I remember it.  Mollie’s school however does something different – they have a FUN DAY.  It is sort of a carnival and fun fair type thing where the kids just go randomly from place to place and race or play whatever activity is there.  Not really the same thing as a SPORTS DAY but the kids enjoyed it all the same.
