This little cutie was older than my usual newborns but she ended up surprising me and doing fantastic!  By 6 weeks she was past the curled up shots but we got loads of ones with her head on her arms so I guess it was a pretty good trade off.  Enjoy!

Little Miss S was such a sweetie at her session.  She put up quite a good fight trying to resist sleeping but eventually I won the battle and got her into a slumber!  You might remember her Mommy and Daddy from the maternity session at Fort Langley a few months back.  I knew then that […]

On my way home every day I pass by an abandoned lot next to a school and an old community hall.  The lot looked like it used to be someones home but the house had obviously been torn down and all that was left was the gravel driveway and holes in the ground where plants and shrubs had been dug up.  In June this year the lot filled up with a TON of buttercups.  They were so thick that you couldn’t even walk through them!  Just before Father’s Day I took my kids and my niece out to the lot for some photos that she could give to her daddy (my brother).  They had alot of fun together and I got a few smiles and laughs!

Being that it is summer it is prime time for families to travel.  Often we have guests from out of town stay for a short or a long time.  One of my regular clients had her sister and her sister’s family come all the way from Switzerland for a nice long visit!  Her mom contacted me to arrange an extended family portrait session while they were in town.  The weather was CRAZY that evening with at first it being sunny then suddenly the clouds opening and me getting absolutely drenched with HUGE raindrops while the family was protected by the edge of the house.  The photos turned out lovely though and the lighting was awesome making the colours really pop!  Next time you have family in town it might be fun to have a portrait session!

As I promised in my last post I would be putting up the photos from the newborn session shortly! Little baby {S} didn’t disappoint – she is just as gorgeous as her parents!  I had loads of fun dressing her up and putting the little flowers on her head!

I hope to see you guys again soon!
