This blog post is LONG overdue! I was without internet last summer due to my move and as a result my summer weddings never got written about.  I am now finally getting the time to blog again and wanted to make certain not to forget about this lovely wedding which took place on Hatzic Lake past Mission.  {K} and {G} had a LOVELY intimate wedding with a gourmet BBQ under tents afterwards.  It was a gorgeous setting for the wedding with everyone facing out onto the lake for the ceremony.  There will definitely be more than one post from this wedding as I have so many favorites!

My good friend L was the very first person who encouraged me to get into photography as a business.  I can not thank her enough for the faith she had in me from the start.  Every year I do their Christmas portraits and usually outside.  This year since I had moved out to Maple Ridge I had the idea to head out to Whonnock Lake and do the session in the morning when the lake would have steam and fog coming off.  Well we picked the perfect day for the session because not only was the weather gorgeous it was cold and frosty too.  The lake was stunning as was the family!!!  Thanks for enduring the cold guys!

After the lake we headed to a little Christmas tree farm at the end of my road.  The trees were just perfectly coated with frozen dew!

I first met Ms Shannen back when her daughter was still  a little bitty thing.  She brought her beautiful daughter in for some portraits.  She was such a cutie and I still have several of the photos from that session on my website!  I was very excited when she called me to see if I was available for during the day on New Year’s Eve.  She had moved the location of her wedding at the last minute and was looking for a photographer.  I was excited to help her capture her special day and knew that it was going to be a gorgeous and intimate wedding in a cute as a button little chapel!  As it so happened we had been having a very cold, but sunny and dry spell here and there was even snow on the ground making her dream for a winter wedding truly come true!

So I have to confess I have been meaning to write this post for QUITE some time.  Almost 6 months to be exact! These photos were taken as a wedding present for this beautiful lady’s soon to be husband.   She printed them out and made them into a beautiful and classy album for him which she presented to him when they got married.  Boudoir photos can be for a husband, a boyfriend or even just for you – they are a very empowering thing as most women rarely do things for themselves.  Boudoir photography is not trashy or anything at all like what you would find on a bad internet site.  It is classy and sexy and very glamorous!

Making yourself look pretty and getting some professional portraits of you will definitely make you feel wonderful!

A few items of lingerie, a flowing shirt, a hot dress, a few pairs of sexy pumps along with some fun jewlery will help to make your session a wonderful one.  You could even bring a few of your significant others clothing items.  A tie, his dress shirt, a jersey or even a much loved musical instrument.  Have fun and enjoy yourself!
