Its this family’s first time all together on my blog! The two littlest boys – twins R and R came for newborn photos and I was super excited to get to photograph them and their older brothers together!  We decided to have the session at the Historic Stewart Farmhouse as its a lovely background for family portraits in the South Surrey area.  They have a lovely old apple orchard, the original homestead and several old barns and out buildings.  The boys did SOOOO well especially considering how chilly it was!

Three siblings celebrate! – Surrey Child Photographer

These three little ones joined me in studio for a fun session for the youngest’s FIRST BIRTHDAY!!! What cuties they were!  Lots of smiles from the older two kids even if the littlest was a little shy infront of the camera!  The indian outfits mom had made right in India were GORGEOUS and photographed BEAUTIFULLY!

I had the opportunity over the summer to meet a very special family with a very special little boy!  I volunteer for the Tiny Light Foundation a non profit organization that provides professional photography for children and families that have been faced with a life altering diagnoses.

The youngest boy in this family has already undergone several heart surgeries and will require another surgery in the coming years. Little {O} was such a cutie and his brothers just loved him so much! Thanks for letting me photograph your family!

We spent a few hours wandering around Campbell Valley park.  Little {N} was lots of fun and had me laughing more than once!

Today was the first day of school for all kids in BC today! My kids headed off to their first day today too.  It was very hot here which is not the usual back to school weather so they dressed in summer clothes instead of the back to school clothes we had bought.  I guess I will have to go out and take photos with those clothes later once the rain starts! Hee hee!

So this post is a little late in that my little girl turned 6 at the beginning of August.  She had her friends party at the end of June so she could invite her school friends and actually have a chance of not having everyone away on vacation!  My lovely friend Larissa of Bridal Beginnings helped me to coordinate this wonderful Ice Cream Parlor and Welcome to Summer party for me.  Larissa is available for kids birthday parties as well as weddings and other event decorating needs.  Check out her site here.

On my way home every day I pass by an abandoned lot next to a school and an old community hall.  The lot looked like it used to be someones home but the house had obviously been torn down and all that was left was the gravel driveway and holes in the ground where plants and shrubs had been dug up.  In June this year the lot filled up with a TON of buttercups.  They were so thick that you couldn’t even walk through them!  Just before Father’s Day I took my kids and my niece out to the lot for some photos that she could give to her daddy (my brother).  They had alot of fun together and I got a few smiles and laughs!
